His experience as a music director, conductor, orchestrator, vocalist, and educator gives him an unusually complete understanding of how percussion functions within a production. Troy listens beyond his own part—supporting singers, responding to the conductor, working with the orchestra, and helping drive the dramatic arc of each performance.
Across more than 80 musical productions, Troy has developed the adaptability required to move naturally between theatrical styles, jazz vocabulary, orchestral colors, world percussion, contemporary grooves, and highly detailed written scores.
